Lifetime Learning Speakers Program presents “Thomas Paine and the Flame of Revolution” a lecture by J. Ward Regan, PhD
Dr. Regan, a professor at NYU will explore the characterization of Paine as a preeminent philosophe, the genesis of radical politics,
and a force in world events. His talk examines the life and writings of Paine such as Common Sense and the Crisis Papers that may have created
a “democratic political ideology.” This program is made possible through the support of the New York Council for the Humanities’ Speakers in the
Humanities Program.

Dr. David L. Kreitzman, a leading expert on treating Parkinson’s, will share the latest in wellness approaches,
pharmacotherapy, ongoing research, and surgical options. Dr. Kreitzman is the Director of the Parkinson's Disease and
Movement Disorders Center of Long Island; Assistant Professor Neurology at SUNY Stony Brook.
